On 12th August, Bikaner will honor the real heroes of the city with Bikaner Gaurav Award

Nirvikalp Foundation, in collaboration with citizens of Bikaner, is honoring individuals who make the city proud on national and international platforms in different domains.

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Shrimali (founding director of the foundation) shared with the media in a briefing about the upcoming event. “Bikaner Gaurav Award ceremony will be organized at the historic Gajner Palace Hotel at Bikaner on Friday 12th August 2022. Many native citizens of Bikaner are going to attend this unique ceremony and coming from not only different parts of the country but even from abroad” – Dr. Shrimali added.

A poster launch ceremony of the event at Bikaner Boys School was graced by the chief guest Additional District Commissioner A H Gauri and chaired by the Additional Director of Secondary Education, Rachna Bhatia.

He mentioned that for the first time in the city, a website has been created for such an event. “I Humbly Accept Awards As They Motivate Me To Work Harder” – Save Earth Activist Dr. Sandeep Choudhary

Apart from being a successful entrepreneur, Dr. Sandeep Choudhary has contributed greatly towards protecting and enhancing the quality of the environment we live in. His work as a social activist hasn’t gone unnoticed. He has been given several prestigious awards and titles from time to time. He was conferred with India’s Biggest Shaksheeyat Awards by the Honourable Governor of Odisha. The Rising Star Award was given to him by the Zee Media Group for his achievements as a young entrepreneur. Last year, on World Environment Day, he received the Global Business Achievers Award.

Talking about what awards mean to him, Dr. Sandeep Choudhary says, “I humbly accept awards as they motivate me to work harder. When I received an award as a student in school, I felt encouraged to do better in my studies. I feel honoured and an immense sense of gratitude whenever somebody gives me an award. I treasure each and every award given to me. Every single day, I try to do things that make me worthy of the titles that have been bestowed upon me.”

For our future generations to survive, we need to protect our biodiversity. Saving the environment is not an option but an urgency. If we don’t do it now, we will regret it for the rest of our lives. If every individual does his or her bit, we would be able to reverse most of the harm we have done to our environment. We must also be conscious in the present and refrain from engaging in any activity that could cause further damage to the environment.”

Through his actions, Dr. Sandeep Choudhary has proved that the sincere efforts put in by just one individual can make a significant difference. His efforts have inspired the youth greatly and paved the way for them to carry out activities that contribute towards safeguarding our environment. Today, a large number of people know Dr. Choudhary as a youth icon who has made a mark with his concern for the environment and love for his motherland.

Manoj Mauryaa awarded Raja Ravi Varma Award

Painter- Filmmaker Manoj Mauryaa was awarded Raja Ravi Varma Award for his contribution to the field of art and culture. The award ceremony was organised in New Delhi in association with the Ministry of Culture, Delhi Police, and Megh Mandal Sansthan to commemorate Raja Ravi Varma’s 174th birth anniversary as a part of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Platinum Jubilee of Delhi Police. Manoj received the award at the hands of G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Culture, Tourism, Professor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Former Governor of Punjab, Haryana and Tripura, and Rakesh Asthana, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. There was an exhibition of paintings of Raja Ravi Varma at the event. Manoj’s painting titled ‘The War of Existence’ was selected to be a part of the Ministry of Culture.

Manoj’s paintings evoke surreal realism and are thought-provoking, figurative, and mystic. Manoj has participated in various solo and group exhibitions at prestigious galleries like Nehru Centre, Mumbai, Lalit Kala Vibhag, Varanasi, NGMA, and Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. His solo exhibition in Mumbai titled ‘Reborn’ at Nehru Art Gallery received rave reviews from the critics and the masses for his style of painting as well as for the social experiment wherein he invited blind students and made them ‘see’ and create paintings.

As a filmmaker, Manoj has written and directed a German Feature Film based on the journey of a musical dyslexic florist who becomes a soloist in a symphony orchestra. The film shot and produced in Germany shall be released in Europe. His Hindi feature film titled ‘The Icecake’ is an adventurous journey about 12 Indian motorcycle riders to Himalayan Spiti valley who discover their inner mysticism while battling treacherous weather, interpersonal conflicts, treachery, revenge, and love. The film has real stunts performed on Spiti valley’s toughest and highest motorable road, where temperatures dropped below -15C.

His upcoming project is a painting and film project based on ‘Kamasutra’ for which he is developing a new series of paintings. He is also working on a European film.

Today, the Ministry of Tourism celebrated the 8^th International Day of Yoga at Parade Ground, Secunderabad, Telangana. The event was led by the Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, Shri. G Kishan Reddy. The Chief Guest of the event was the Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M Venkaiah Naidu. The event was attended by more than 15,000 participants which included Badminton Player, Padma Bhushan, and Arjuna Awardee Ms. PV Sandhu, and Film Actor Shri. Adivi Sesh, Members of Legislative Assembly, President of Telangana Yoga Teachers Association, Yoga Institutes and association, Colleges, Schools, Para Military forces, Media, local administration, and other dignitaries.

Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, Shri. G Kishan Reddy welcomed the guests and talked about the importance of yoga in everyday life. Thereafter Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi virtually addressed the gathering from Mysuru.

Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M Venkaiah Naidu performed yoga and addressed the participants. Emphasizing the importance of good health in one’s life, Shri Naidu highlighted the importance of events like ‘International Yoga Day’ in promoting good health and happiness among the citizens.

Referring to increasing mental health issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said that the pandemic has made Yoga altogether more important to build resilience and improve our health

After the address of the Hon’ble Vice President, all the participants performed yoga as per Common Yoga Protocol.

The Bharat Gaurav trains will provide an opportunity to explore the architectural, cultural, and historical marvels of the country: Shri G. Kishan Reddy

Union Minister of Tourism, Culture, and DONER, Shri G. Kishan Reddy along with Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station today. For the first time, it will connect India and Nepal with a tourist train.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri G. Kishan Reddy said that this is the first tourist train connecting India and Nepal. “Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is starting its first Shri Ramayana Yatra for 18 days from today, the first trip of the train operating on the Ramayana Circuit will also cover the religious destination of JANAKPUR (in Nepal) for the first time in addition to other popular destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhui, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Pancvati (Nasik), Hampi, Rameshwaram, and Bhadrachalam”, Union Minister added.

Shri Reddy further said that the Ministry of Tourism in association with IRCTC and the Ministry of Railways has also proposed Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains for Krishna Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, and many other circuits. “Bharat Gaurav trains is an attempt to showcase the rich cultural, spiritual and historical heritage of the country to the people of India. The unique concept of Bharat Gaurav Trains, as envisaged by the Ministry of Railways, will be helpful in promoting mass tourism across the country and provide an opportunity to people from all parts of the country to explore the architectural, cultural, and historical marvels of the country”, Shri Reddy added.

Shri Reddy also informed that the exterior of the coaches of the trains has been designed as a kaleidoscope of Bharat Gaurav or Pride of India, highlighting various facets of India such as monuments, dances, Yoga, folk art, etc.

Union Minister for Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said that this is a historical day for all of us. This is a gift from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to its citizens, and a dream of the Prime Minister has now been realized. Shri Ashwini further added that the main objective behind the Bharat Gaurav train is to showcase the diverse culture and rich heritage of India.

Branded as Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains, IRCTC is operating these special comfort category tourist trains to promote theme-based tourism. The coaches of the train have recently undergone refurbishment and the amenities and services have been upgraded.
