Grand Master Bikram Sutradhar from Tripura becomes the youngest to recite maximum square root of 2

Tripura’s Bikram Sutradhar has been awarded the title of ‘Grand Master’ for recalling the values of the square root of two up to 325 digits in 57 seconds and 68 milliseconds, as confirmed on January 7, 2022, for the Asia Book of Records.

Bikram recalled the values of the square root of two up to 325 digits in 57 seconds and 68 milliseconds, as confirmed on December 31, 2021, by the India Book of Records.

The World Record of “YOUNGEST TO RECITE MAXIMUM SQUARE ROOTS” was achieved by Bikram SUTRADHAR on December 30th, 2021, from Agartala (Tripura) India. 27 years 1 month 21 days old Bikram Sutradhar became the youngest person to recite square roots from 2 to 384 digits. This is also a new world record for the International Book of Records.

In 2017, he cracked the IIT JAM MS exam with an AIR of 392 ranked. Recently, he worked with a number system. He always thinks about creativity. “Not only studies, I also admire sports, karate, acting, and reading,” says Bikram.

During school life, I faced various kinds of problems. “I don’t belong to a very rich family. My father had to leave this job due to a health issue at the time. At the time, I faced the prospect of having to discontinue my studies due to financial and mental constraints. My school teacher, Nita Das, assisted me in continuing my studies.” says Bikram.

In 2013, he developed a passion for mathematics. Studying mathematics, he came across the studies of Srinivasan Ramanujan and he was highly motivated by Shri Ramanujan’s work.

Bikram is also helping students from poor families in education and assisting them in procuring scholarships or grants.

“I am always willing to help poor families who cannot afford to send their children to school.”, says Bikram.

Bikram’s achievement and inclusion in the International Book of Records is a source of inspiration to young students from Tripura and the entire country, it is a true story of how a boy from humble background chose to rise above the circumstances.

Author RuskBond Felicitates Ei ASSET Students and Schools at the Super Thinker 2021-22 Awards

Bangalore, February 28, 2022: Ei – Educational Initiatives, an edtech solution provider recently concluded an online ceremony to recognize and celebrate the bright young Super Thinkers and the Educators that helped create them.

While students and their parents are highly motivated and hardworking, they work under a system of rote-learning which may have worked well in the past but would not hold true for the future. Sridhar addressed this during the event and explained how his journey to revamp the education system started with his own analysis of how students were taught, an analysis that began over 20 years ago, and continues to this day. He described how ASSET, a direct result of this analysis, was designed to diagnose and identify problem areas and provide individualised feedback to students and teachers so that they could see the areas where they needed to improve and work effectively towards it.

The event saw hearty participation from both Mr. Ruskin Bond as well as the felicitated prize winners. Excitement was especially high among the younger members of the winners who were thrilled to hear their names being called forth by Mr. Bond as they were congratulated and encouraged to continue scaling new heights in their learning journey.

The event ended with an address by Jayanti Dasgupta, Head of National sales and also an educator herself, congratulating the students and the institutions. “We are sowing the seeds of a new society where scientific temper lays the path ahead for great inventions and discoveries. The National Institute of Career Services (NICS) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment and Edumilestones organized with the Directorate of Education, Bikaner, along with principals, civil society, students, 200+ Certified Career Analysts, Guardians, and other relevant stakeholders for organizing the workshops of 1000+ schools covering around 1 lakh students of Bikaner.

The project ‘Training of Trainers on Circular Economy (ToTCE)’ is conceptualized in partnership with Hyderabad-based Global Institute for Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Goals (ICE & SDGs), dedicated to working on resource efficiency, circular economy, and sustainable development goals (SDGs). This unique initiative delivers virtual training on the Circular Economy. The aim is to develop the vision, mission, mindset, thought leadership, and skillset for our much-needed transition from a linear to a circular economy.

These ToTCE programs are designed to provide insights on how to align, design, and implement circular economy using effective approaches, models, and opportunities. Under these initiatives, Mobius Foundation has already conducted four training sessions curated for different sections of our economy. Two Sections each of ‘Implementation of Circular Economy in Educational Institutions’ and ‘Implementation of Circular Economy in Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises’

To provide the stakeholders with reference literature to plan a circular model, the foundation in partnership with ICE and SDGs is also creating sector-specific manuals. Two of the manuals introduced so far are: ‘Manual on implementation of circular economy in SMEs’ and ‘Manual on Implementation of circular economy in Educational Institutions’

The project is a first-of-its-kind virtual training circular economy initiative bought for the first time in India. The entire training is based on case studies, sector-specific research, manuals, and training delivered by internationally acclaimed experts. With each session, a handbook on ‘Circular Economy- What, why and who?’ was shared with the participants. The initiative experienced global outreach with participants from numerous countries joining in. Apart from that, the training received multi-sectorial participation of teachers, students, entrepreneurs, managers and academic administrators. So far, 120+ certifications have been awarded for completion of the ‘Training of Trainers on Circular Economy’.

In the future, Mobius Foundation aims to continue the initiative to create awareness about the need for a circular economy and how it can play an integral role to solve the environmental crisis.
